Solum Consultants is a Kenyan firm, founded in 2017 with several affiliated professionals in Africa. The goal is to provide advisory services on a range of areas among them, Strategy and Business Plan development, Feasibility Studies, Financial Modelling, Research, Technology Innovations, Development Services, Transaction Services, Business Development Services, Capacity Building, Value Chain Development, Market Systems Development, ICT applications. The key sectors of focus are Agriculture, Real Estate, Education, Natural Resources and Sports.

Work History

Reginald is a former Chairman of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya. He was a member of the Board of National Housing Corporation where he served variously as Chairman of the Business Development and Board Audit Committees. He also served as a member of the Finance and Business Development Committee as well as in the Human Resource Committees of the Board. He has also served at Superior Homes Kenya both in the position of Director and Chairman/Chief Operating Officer.

Experience & Exposure

Reginald has accumulated over eighteen (18) years’ experience in Agency and negotiations (Site Acquisition, Sales and Leasing), property management, project finance, project development and Assets valuation. He is widely exposed in Agency and Valuations and has been a team leader in sales, leasing, site acquisition, valuation assignments and project development while at Metrocosmo Valuers Limited (1996 to 1997), Lloyd Masika (1997 to 2001), Tysons Limited (2001 to 2003), CB Richard Ellis (2003 to 2004) and Ark Consultants Limited (2004 to 2018). He has been instrumental in conception, structuring and development of various real estate projects in Kenya.

Educational Background

Reginald holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Strathmore Business School (2018) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economics from the University of Nairobi (1995). He is a full member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya, a Registered and Practicing Valuer and Estate Agent. He has attended specialized short courses in Land Management (Organized by the World Bank Institute), Corporate Governance (by Center of Corporate Governance, Institute of Internal Auditors and KCA University) as well Real Estate Finance and Taxation.

Bridget has worked for International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC 2009-2015,2018), Chemonics International (2005-2006, 2018), East Africa Trade and Investment Hub/African Economic Social Development Consultants (2015-2017), Regional Agricultural Trade and Expansion Support Program (RATEs 2006-2009), Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC 2007-2009) and Tegemeo Institute of Agricultural Policy and Development /Egerton University (1997-2004). Bridget has networks at local, regional and international level, including individuals, private sector, NGOs, Government, regional economic blocks (EAC, COMESA), donors (USAID, EU, World Bank, Dutch). Not only has Bridget organized and facilitated trainings, conferences and agribusiness challenges, she has also prepared and delivered presentations at conferences.

Experience & Exposure

Bridget Okumu is an agribusiness specialist with over fifteen years’ experience in Agricultural trade and markets (domestic, cross border and international markets), agricultural market information system, Value chain development, research, monitoring and evaluation, food security and ICT applications having worked for several food security and trade projects in eastern and southern Africa
